Wing Commander Simon Ellard, accompanied by his wife Amanda, traveled from RAF Marham on Friday, 17th of April. to present a weather- vane to the Thorpe Camp Visitor Centre. The vane, fashioned in the shape of a Vickers Valiant Bomber, once graced Marham's Station Church, but is now to be installed on one of the Centre's newly restored buildings. The couple are pictured handing over the weathervane to Thorpe Camps President, Squadron Leader Al Pinner, right.

Thorpe Camp Preservation Group is, currently, seeking accreditation from the Libraries, Museums and Archive Association. Once this is attained, we have been assured by the Royal Air Force Museum that artifacts pertaining to the Valiant will be available to us on loan. At this point, we have several items for the collection, several large photographs of Valiants donated by Pete Sharp, an ingenious tool invented and donated by John Foster (207 Sqdn.)
